This place is skirted by the holy Gomati River
with 5000+ years old holy banyon tree.
Lord Balarama, Dadhici Muni, the Pandavas,
Prabhu Nityananda, and Ramanujacharya all came here.
The Pandavas are said to have come here
when they were in exile.
This is the place where the demigods came
to ask Dadhici for his body,
to be able to create a weapon that would be able
to kill the demon Vritrasura.
Lord Rama is said to have performed a sacrifice
here for killing Ravana.

The Everlasting Glory of Chandrapat Mahakirtan

I have had the opportunity of listening to the Mahanam Mahakirtan part of the Chandrapat Kirtan
by three different singers as MP3 songs many times since 2007 and had felt
the ethereal presence of Prabhu Jagadbandhu amidst those kirtans and wondered in my mind
once in a while, if these blessed kirtan singers brought back Prabhu Jagadbandhu once again to this mortal world
at some of those moments like Sri Advaita Acharya had done from Santipur
to bring back Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu to Santipur from Navadwipa
in his mental ecstasy and transcendence!

Chandrapat – a mystic, mystified and incomprehensible lyrical composition by Prabhu Jagadbandhu
with numerous esoteric allusions seemingly intimidating to readers and listeners in general in intricacy and enigma
but sung day and night by a large number of followers and devotees across the globe
spanning the remotest village of Bangladesh, West Bengal and other parts of India and also the most
technologically advanced urban cities in the world.

That this intricate and enigmatic verse of Mahanam Mahakirtan, if sung by true devotion and compassion
in a blessed voice attainable only by the truest faith is revealed by the Mahanam Kirtan
sung by Sri Netai Charan Lahiri of Naimisharanya Prabhu Jagadbandhu Ashram, Sitapur, UP,
the singer from Kanpur for Prabhu Jagat Bandhu Seva Sanstha, Pathakpuram, Lucknow, India
and Sri Kirtan Mohanta of Mahanam Sampraday, who seem to reverberate the
surrounding areas when their Mahanam Mahakirtan emanates from a cassette tape, cd or mp3 player,
as if, bringing Prabhu Jagadbandhu in his ethereal presence in the corner of the house.

Dr. Ujjwala Kundu and Srimati Susrita Kundu arrived in Montreal on Thursday, July 22, 2010 at 1:00 p.m.

Dr. Ujjwala Kundu and Srimati Susrita Kundu will come to New York on 28th or 29th of July and they will be back to Montreal on 4th or 5th of August, 2010. On 7th August TCMSS (Toronto Mahanam Sevak Sangha) will have their program in Toronto. After that they might go to Detroit Mahanam Sevak Sangha, Michigan but that is not confirmed yet. Katibandhuji's itinerary may be associated with all these programs but I am not aware of that yet. Please check back our "Current News" section at a later time for any further update.
